I'm a reluctant WA user (unavoidable family group) which is isolated in a secondary profile with minimum/default permissions. Not ideal, but least exposure I guess.
Recently WA introduced 'add account' feature where it's possible to have 2 accounts/numbers linked within the same app.
Now this is my current setup
Phone 1: GOS. WA in secondary profile. SIM 1 (home country). daily use
Phone 2: Android. SIM 2 (other country). used only for travel purposes.
In phone 1, i've added phone 2 number under add account feature (which logs me out of phone 2 after pincode is verified on phone 1).
Since I'm logged out of WA on phone 2, I powered it off. But the number is active on my GOS WA and works as normal (despite the phone with physical sim is powered off).
Does this mean, SIM 2 is now on some sort of a VOIP mode on GOS phone? by WA messaging or calling from this account, can I be geo-profiled as when using a physical sim? Wondering if I stumbled upon an unexpected benefit or it's just nothing.
Thank you.
