Planning on writing a blog post about it, but recently realized the suite is much larger than I realized:

CoMaps/Organic Maps: Here's a route from A -> B, no questions asked
OsmAnd +: Here's an app for a bit more planning/editing of your route. Power-user friendly and customizable for a better experience than CoMaps if you put in the effort. Much more interactive re: take/avoid certain streets, feature rich profiles for different transportation methods, etc
BRouter: A companion app for osmand for even more cyclist-friendly routes automatically

I was using CoMaps and it was falling short for my bike trips, but I've recently closed the gap w/ OsmAnd +

I'm using a Xiaomi Smart Band 8 - see https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/35993-step-counting-app

Works with Magic Earth (now deinstalled), Organic Maps, CoMaps, OSMand+, as well as with the German Tiny Weather app (from DWD). It also receives notifications from your phone in case you'd want this.

As I've read, newer devices (Xiaomi Smart Band 9/10 and their Pro cousins) have better sensors, and so their heart-rate data should be more exact. There's Rob explaining this as part of his job on YT: https://www.youtube.com/@TheQuantifiedScientist/videos
