Trying to set up calendar, need help.

I'm trying to set up a calendar on another account below admin. I'd like to be able to use it to automatically copy and schedule events when I click on links for use of a calendar. I have Proton Calendar downloaded and I'm trying to get calendar links on Meetup To copy to proton calendar, but every time I try, "calendar" crashes. (Not Proton Calendar).

What am I doing wrong?

Makrus When trying to add to the calendar, do you get prompted to pick an app? I just tried with Google Calendar (don't have my personal Proton stuff set up in my testing profile) and it works. The system calendar app also crashes on my phone since it doesn't seem to have the required activity, which I think is expected. If it's picking the system calendar by default, you can try to clear that default app preference.

Try going to the system calendar app's app info page:

Settings > Apps > All apps > *3 dots in upper right-hand corner* > Show system > Calendar > Open by default

From there, do you see a button that says "Clear default preferences"? If you do, try tapping that, then try adding the event to your calendar again, but this time make sure you select Proton Calendar.

I've done all you said, it still tries to open system calendar and it then crashes. I've never gotten an option to choose a default calendar.

Makrus I just tested with Proton Calendar, and it appears Proton Calendar isn't set up to receive that kind of intent. Like I said, I tested earlier with Google Calendar and it worked fine. In order for this to work, Proton needs to update their app.
