Hello guys and gals,
I am looking to upgrade from my old iphone to a new phone, and wanted to get a 15 pro max but am turned off by the value comparison and privacy concerns.
I was wondering if I should buy a Pixel 8 pro with my carrier Tmobile, or if it is recommended to buy some other way and then connect to that carrier.
And about the OS itself, I did some research on the possible compatibility issues with banking apps and games, but saw posts and tutorials on making a new profile to sandbox google play services and then using them there. I was also wondering about the compatibility with apps I need to use for school such as discord, likely some google apps (though would like to cut down on google services I use) and such. I will also need to use apps like YouTube, TikTok, etc as a content creator, and it would also be very nice to be able to record myself playing games like Brawlstars or Hearthstone and be able to export them to desktop or modify the footage within my phone.
Would GrapheneOS still have benefits for my use case or should I consider getting an S24? Privacy is a goal of mine but I am mainly considering a practical experience and the 24 has very good camera and features.
Edit: I also have over 100GB of images and such stored on iCloud (which I only recently enabled the encryption thing for) and airpods pro. Is it too late to switch to being based and using private options other than the iOS ecosystem :< will those airpods work with Graphene as well?
