Location OK but location -> address not working

Hello,

I am using GrapheneOS on a Pixel 8 pro. My location works perfectly well and using it with zero issues to navigate with Waze and other apps. All apps that need location work well.

There is one specific delivery app though that despite capturing my location perfectly and pinpointing me on the map, gets stuck when trying to translate the Location into street address, which the app requires for the delivery.

So I get stuck like this:

I have Google play services installed and tried giving them precise location access in the settings after reading a few posts in the Forum, but it didn't help. In facts I think the problem is really not in the location itself but in translating it to an address which works well in stock Android but apparently not in GOS.

Any hint on how to resolve this?

de0u Thanks. So if I get it right it's a missing feature that devs are considering adding in the future, and for now nothing to do as long as the App requires access to a database that is not supported.

That's my understanding! I think technically it's that the app is looking for a service that GrapheneOS doesn't provide an implementation of (the implementation would need to draw from some database, but in some way with reasonable privacy).
