Hi, actually I did not really take attention to the following paragraph in eSIM management :
https://grapheneos.org/usage#sandboxed-google-play-esim
Privileged eSIM management
By default GrapheneOS always has shipped with baseline support for eSIM, where users can use any eSIMs installed previously on the device. However, in order to manage and add eSIMs, proprietary Google functionality is needed. This is fully disabled by default.
Does it mean in case the phone crash and we have to factory reset / réinstall GOS, the eSIM is still registered inside the phone ?
I mean currently, with my provider, if I cannot access anymore to my phone number to receive an SMS, I can't transfer/register eSIM on a new phone.
I was a bit afraid about it because in case of system crash I thought I would have to register again the eSIM in the phone, but without able to receive SMS, I would have no other way to ask/pay a new physical SIM card to my carrier, wait to receive it, then switch to eSIM from this new physical SIM.
I'm curious to know if eSIM is still there in case of factory reset.
