eSIM error

Hi,

We are trying set up an eSIM for one of our clients because the physical sim slot is broken. We used the website: silent.link and we canned the QR-code that it provided. However, after scanning the proces kept going and nothing changed. After this, we used the guide that graphene.org provides regarding the DSDS toggle that needs to be turned on. We were able to set this up but when we try to scan the QR-code now, it gives us an error right away with the message: Network not activated.

Do any of you know of a solution to this issue?

Does the device have access to a Wi-Fi network? What exactly is the text of the error?

In my experience with eSIMs I've found that, once you scan the eSIM QR code, it cannot be scanned a second time, even if there was an error the first time. You may simply have to get silent.link to issue you a fresh eSIM.

I forgot to ask if an eSIM activation requires the the physical sim slot to be functional.

de0u I have conntected the phone to 2 different WiFi-networks. The error says: Network not activated, Something went wrong while trying to activate your number. The error also shows a red triangle on the top-left. I have tried this on a different device running GrapheneOS and it worked instantly. The device that gives the error is also freshly installed with a clean GrapheneOS image.

android-privacy It might make sense to capture a bug report (Settings, System, Developer options, Bug report) and share it privately with one of the developers on one of the chat systems.

Facing same issue but in Stock Rom I can't add any eSIMs 😔
