Can't restore Signal backup on Molly

I wanted to use Molly (hardened Signal), but for some reason, it's not letting me restore my Signal backup. I can select it, but it shows up as having a creation date of 1970, and it refuses to accept the file. I can restore the same backup file on regular Signal with no issue.

Has anyone run into this problem perhaps?

Signal is designed not to restore backups from newer to older versions. Molly has yet to be updated to the current version of Signal so backups won't work unless the Signal backup is older than your Molly version.

You're referring to Nuttso I'm guessing? I believe they're just a team member and not the creator.

Duct9143 as the others were mentioning, you have to have the same or newer version. I just did my switch to Molly FOSS a few days back and had the same problem. In Droid-ify and Neo Store I had to manually select the newest version as the "suggested" standard was a version behind my Signal install.
