I'd like to know if it's better to use the web version of a site that also has a mobile version?
Let me explain, I read (a while ago) that in terms of privacy, it's better to use the web version of a site compared to the mobile version.
In the web version, you can configure the browser to put in an ad blocker, tracker, cookie, etc. Ublock Origin + Firefox's strict mode really do the job, whereas with an app the service can suck up more data like how often you use the service, or click and share with other installed apps, not to mention certain mandatory authorizations.
But I wonder, with GOS, is it still relevant to use the web version if the installed apps are sandboxed?
My question mainly concerns social networks.
