I am reluctantly thinking about trying out using an eSIM on Graphene OS.
I know that to do this, Google will need to have information about my phone. What specific permanent identifiers will Google get if I install this?
I know that the eSIM stuff needs to be installed in the main profile.
Up until now, the way I have been configuring Graphene is to use a very good password for the main profile, keep all my Apps in the main profile, and then copy those Apps into other profiles for use as needed.
I am now reconsidering this strategy greatly if I am installing an eSIM. Out of fear of Google learning more about me I am considering having no Apps aside from the eSIM and stock Graphene Apps in the main profile.
I am also rethinking having an extremely long password for just booting the phone and having the phone reset often. It's very hard for me to need to keep putting the long password in and most of my profiles are not sensitive.
Do people have opinions on this? Has anyone tries this with success or difficulty?
I have also thought about using a MiFi for privacy purposes but it is harder to have a MiFi and phone with me at all times and I am also worried that even if I purchase a MiFi I could end up forgetting to bring it with me and be stuck without data.
