Did Android 14 limit Fingerprint amout to 4?

I could add 5 Fingerprints on the Pixel 4a with GrapheneOS.

On the Pixel 6a (apart from the objectively worse fingerprint reader) there are only 4 possible?

As a common fix to get it working is to register 2 fingerprints of the same finger, this is very little.

Could GrapheneOS rase this amount to 20 or so? Is there any hardware limitation?

I was able to add 5 on pixel 6 .
