Press & Hold Power Button + Quick Tap gestures support??

The feature in system > gestures > press & hold power button is crazy useful, same with quick tap and I've never had an accidental triggering, I normally hate back tap gestures.... But these two are implemented so perfectly, could we please get possibly get them implemented into GOS?

Press & Hold offers the following:
Power menu
Digital assistant

It also includes a strength slider for how long one should hold in order to activate.
Technically speaking, there's no reason you can't bind other actions if including support for an assistant somehow goes against gplv2 licensing (not necessarily Google Assistant but I am referring to that).
Power menu is then activated by pressing power and vol +, screen off is unaffected and functions the same as before.

Quick Tap allows you to tap the back of device twice to trigger a range of apps or service, also with a strength slider, it should be noted I sometimes struggle to activate it whereas normally I struggle to not activate it with every other app or service that I've tried this with.
Options are:
Screenshot
Access your digital assistant
Play or pause media
Show notifications
Toggle flashlight
Open app(of your own choosing)

I was actually shocked to see that last option, nice job Google.

I'm hoping some if not both of these could be implemented somehow as I don't see why they couldn't unless somehow the Quick Tap uses proprietary blobs or libraries. Here's to hoping they don't🤞

Just in general, GrapheneOS developers are too busy working on other projects to work on adding features like these. In cases like this (as you can see from the feature request above), the project may consider adding features if a member of the community puts in the work, comes up with a good implementation, and can help maintain their feature in the future.

I don't know if the project would be willing to add these features even if a good implementation was submitted to them. If anybody is interested in putting in the work, I'd suggest asking if they'd be interested before starting anything.

It was overall unclear what was requested in the feature request as my initial interpretation was they were asking for a monetary donation. However, after reading your post it now seems as if they are looking for a code or framework donation. I do not know much about programming but I am feeling confident in that there is some sort of proprietary code at play that does not allow for a simple reimplementation rather a complete rewrite in essence, would that be correct?

😅 It is ironic that you link towards taptap, as I've tried that in the past and that was literally what I was referring to and the initial post that I found it to be too sensitive and would activate when I did not intend it to
