Hidden AP / Saved network

I just want to make this sure, just so I understand, the thing about deleting network from the saved list afterwards is only useful for hidden AP right? Not for publicly available access points?

Since from what I understood with the hidden ones, the phone permanently broadcasts it to other available and public access points so that it can find it back? compromising privacy...

also, should a mod comes back again for locking, my question here is very different and I'm looking to get a whole different answer that I never got, thanks.

If you need to use a hidden AP, it is indeed best practice to delete the saved network afterwards. That's not necessary for standard non-hidden APs.
