The phone has completely lost the fingerprint sensor. It's like after the last update it just disappeared. No option in security settings. Just pin unlock. Apps that use the fingerprint sensor also can't see the sensor.
No feedback as to the change given at any stage.

By the way, I couldn't find a search function for this forum on mobile.

Have you restarted your phone? Maybe that can help make it show up again.

Otherwise, I'd guess it's a hardware issue. You can try a factory reset or try reflashing Stock to see if it doesn't work after.

I am seeing the same thing...have restarted MANY times. Pixel 6 Pro. There is no option in the settings for "fingerprint".

If not, I'll wait for the next update. I've switched to beta to try to speed that up, but strangely, there's no update available after changing from stable.

If that doesn't work, I'll try a factory reset,
If not after that, back to stock.
If not after that, I'll have to sell the phone.

It didn't coinside with a drop, and it looks like software. I also don't have a face unlock option

I managed to get it working again by adding a new fingerprint to the work profile.

The bug must be a combination of the work profile and fingerprint security. As an aside, the work profile pin request looks very easy to spoof.

I've got the same problem with my pixel 6a. My biometric sensor completely disappeared from the setting menu after a software update. I did a factory reset and the fingerprint option was back. Two days later it was gone again. Tried another factory reset but this time it did not appear again. Seems to me it's something to do with software update making the biometric function completely disappear.
